ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Since 1979, Larry Altshuler, MD, has practiced medicine as a board-certified internist. Additionally, Dr. Altshuler is an expert in integrative medicine, with extensive training and experience in acupuncture, hypnosis, mind-body medicine, Western and Chinese herbology, and nutrition. Dr. Altshuler currently serves as Director of Oncology Intake and as an internist and hospitalist at Cancer Treatment Centers of America in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Dr. Altshuler has previously published four other books, including Balanced Healing: Combining Modern Medicine with Safe and Effective Alternative Therapies, which was awarded the USA Book News “Best Book 2004” in the health category. Dr. Altshuler is the author of numerous scientific articles on alternative medicine and acupuncture and conducts research in acupuncture, Chinese herbs and low level energy lasers. He lectures extensively to public and professional groups and frequently appears on both regional and national television and radio programs.
